It's a stroll down Fifth Ave. looking at buildings through the trees.

Ms Paint allows you to overlay images and anything white become transparent - so you learn to play with brightnes and contrast and then overlay. It is like a partial mask.

Have not been able to do it yet with paint.net - there it is layers overlay which is quite different.

And I have been too chicken shit to load PhotoShop.

sounds absorbing. I would love to try. I like the through a screen shifting look of your work. Have you always done this type of work, john, or did you do non-digital in the past?

I was a fine arts photographer and then painted with pastels on black and white photos - a year and a half ago I started doing digital and planned to do a show involving aspiring Broadway actress - photos manipulated then painted on.

That fell apart last summer and then I focused on digital, blogging, but not meeting anyone really. Then I saw Neda's distinguished blog in November or so and "came out" with Debi, Neda and others...the blog activity led to sampling and growth.
